NEPAL PREVAIL OVER OMAN
2nd April 2010, Unity ground

In the second game at Ahmadi, Unity ground, Nepal played to their potential to overcome the challenge of Oman in the pool match.Oman batted first and scored 169 runs mainly through some excellent batting from south paw Vaibhav Wategoankar who top scored with 56 runs. Adnan Ilyas(22 runs), Sultan Ahmed (20 runs) and Amir Ali 24 runs were the other scorers.

The Nepal bowlers maintained a steady line & length and Rahul was the pick of the bowlers by taking 3 wickets for 32 runs. Shakthi Gauchan & Sanjam Regmi supported the Nepal attack by bowling well.

Nepal openers Mahesh Chettri & Anil Mandal posted 63 runs to give the team a splendid start. Mahesh scored 35 runs while Anil hit 39 runs. Basant Regmi with 29 runs skipper Paras Khadka with 29 runs and Sharad Vesawaker who scored 22 runs guided Nepal to their second victory. Amir Ali took 3 wickets for Oman.
